Treasurer

Turner Ruggi (he/him) is a second year studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics – and the Treasurer of the Diplomatic Society. Turner is a tri-citizen, with a particular interest in conflict mediation, peacekeeping, and the growing role of NGOs and the private sector in the future of diplomacy. He has attended conferences and workshops on cultural diplomacy, negotiation techniques and the role played by grassroots organisations to help or hinder peace settlements. Additionally, Turner takes a personal interest in conflict within the former Soviet Union, especially around Transcaucasia and the growing Turkish sphere of influence in the region. As part of the society, Turner is excited to expand the number of professional workshops offered, and by doing so train the the next generation of diplomats.
