First Secretary at the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in London (August 2021)

Rawan Al Faqir is currently President of the Young Diplomats in London (October-2022) and the First Secretary at the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in London (August 2021). She is also an Alternate Represenative of Jordan to The International Maritime Organisation IMO -since August 2021.

Rawan has been a career diplomat since 2013 and served in various roles at the Jordanian MFA including a desk officer of the USA in the North American Department and worked directly with the Ministry Spokesperson.

Moreover, she was awarded Chevening Scholarship (UK government’s international scholarships) and fellowships programme funded  by the FCDO and completed a MST in Diplomatic Studies from The University of Oxford in 2020, and also holds a B.A in International Relations and Strategic Studies from the Hashemite University in Jordan.

Rawan is trilingual, Arabic is her mother language and she is also fluent in English & Hebrew.
